I saw this on Facebook today for the first time. It fits so perfectly with the book that we are now reading and the Passion passages that we read in class yesterday. Creating images of Christ, especially specifying race, is not a thing of the past. It is part of a very current conversation that is going on in our country right now. Based on the readings that we have been doing and the discussions that we have had, what are your thoughts?
This is really in line with James Cone, who I described when we talked about Liberation Theology. It's also in line with much of what we've been reading.
